Refund Policy

Skillthropic's 30-day money-back guarantee on every study guide, Collection, and All-Access subscription: what it covers, how to claim it, and how long it takes.

Effective August 21, 2026. Questions about anything here? Email contact@skillthropic.com.

Effective date: August 21, 2026

30-day money-back guarantee. On everything.

If a Skillthropic guide isn't helping you, email us within 30 days and we'll refund you. Full stop.

You don't need a reason. You don't need to prove you read it. You don't need to fill out a form or sit through a "are you sure?" flow. Just tell us you'd like a refund and we'll send your money back.

We'd rather have your trust than your money.

What's covered

Everything we sell:

Purchase Covered? Window
Any single guide ✅ Yes 30 days from purchase
Security+ Complete Collection ✅ Yes 30 days from purchase
SecAI+ Complete Collection ✅ Yes 30 days from purchase
All-Access Monthly ✅ Yes, on your first charge 30 days from your first charge
All-Access Annual ✅ Yes, on your first charge 30 days from your first charge

Downloading the PDFs doesn't void your refund. Working through every practice question doesn't void it either. We're not going to nickel-and-dime you over whether you "used" it.

How to request a refund

Email contact@skillthropic.com with the subject line "Refund."

Include the email address you used at checkout so we can find your order. That's all we need.

If you'd like to tell us what didn't work, we'd genuinely appreciate it. It's how the guides get better. But it's optional, and we won't ask twice or try to talk you out of it.

How fast

Step Timing
We reply to your request Within 1 business day
We issue the refund through Stripe Within 2 business days of your request
Money appears on your statement Typically 5–10 business days after we issue it, depending on your bank

That last step is your bank's timeline, not ours: once Stripe shows the refund as issued, it's on its way. If it's been more than 10 business days, email us and we'll send you the Stripe refund confirmation to take to your bank.

Where the money goes

Refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe: the same card or payment method you used to buy. We can't send a refund to a different card, to PayPal, or as store credit, because Stripe reverses the original transaction.

If your card has since expired or been replaced, the refund still normally reaches you. Your bank routes it to the replacement account. If it doesn't, contact your bank with the Stripe refund confirmation we'll send you.

Any sales tax or VAT you paid is refunded along with the purchase price.

How subscriptions work

Cancel any time, in one click. Go to Account → Subscription → Cancel subscription. No phone call, no email, no retention offer. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you're never charged again.

The 30-day guarantee applies to your first charge. Sign up for All-Access, decide within 30 days that it isn't for you, and we'll refund that first charge in full and end your access.

After that, we don't refund renewals or partial months. Once you're past the first 30 days, each renewal charge buys you that period, and canceling mid-period doesn't produce a prorated refund. You just keep your access until the period ends and aren't billed again.

We remind annual subscribers before they renew. You'll get an email 15–45 days before each annual renewal telling you the date, the amount, and how to cancel. Nobody should be surprised by a renewal charge.

If we accidentally bill you after you canceled (a bug, a timing issue, anything), tell us and we'll refund it immediately regardless of any window. That's our mistake, not yours.

What happens to your access after a refund

When we refund a purchase, the license ends and we remove your access to that content. That means:

  • Your access to the online interactive guide is turned off.
  • Your access to that guide's practice questions ends.
  • You agree to delete any PDFs you downloaded, and you may no longer use, keep, or share them.

This is the honor system, and it works because our customers are decent people. But to be clear: keeping and using the materials after taking a refund is a breach of our Terms of Service and, in plain terms, is taking something you didn't pay for.

Refunding one guide doesn't affect any other guide you own. If you bought three and want to refund one, we'll do that.

The things we won't refund

We want to be honest about the edges rather than surprise you:

  • Requests after 30 days. We hold the line at 30 days because that's a fair amount of time to know whether something works for you. If you're at day 33 with a good reason, email us anyway. We read every message and we're reasonable.
  • Subscription renewal charges beyond the first-charge window. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next one; canceling is instant and self-serve.
  • Accounts terminated for redistributing our materials. If we revoke access because someone uploaded our PDFs to a file-sharing site, that's not refundable.
  • Repeat refund cycling. If someone buys, refunds, and re-buys the same guide repeatedly, we may decline further refunds on that guide. This has basically never come up.

One thing we don't offer, and want to be upfront about

We do not offer a pass guarantee. We won't refund you because an exam didn't go the way you hoped, and we don't make any promise about exam results. Nobody honestly can: passing depends on your experience, your study, and your day.

What we do guarantee is the quality of the material. If the guide isn't good, or isn't what you expected, or just isn't clicking for you, that's what the 30-day guarantee is for, and we'll refund it without argument.

This policy is offered in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them.

EU and UK customers: you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. For digital content delivered immediately, that right can end once download or streaming begins with your express consent and acknowledgment, which you give at checkout. Our 30-day guarantee is more generous than the statutory 14 days, so we'll simply honor the 30 days regardless. Your rights relating to digital content that is faulty or not as described are unaffected.

Australian customers: nothing here excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Everyone else: if your local consumer law gives you more than this policy does, your local law wins.
